I was craving something delicious and creamy today, so I came up with this healthy ginger-pear-oat smoothie recipe. Try it and let me know how you like it, or share your favorite smoothie and juice recipes.
Ginger-Pear Creme
1 ripe pear cut into cubes
1-inch piece of peeled fresh ginger
1/3 cup oatmeal squares cereal (I like Barbara’s Morning Oat Crunch)
1/3 cup milk (or almond or soy milk if you don’t do dairy)
dash of cinnamon
3 ice cubes
Put everything in your blender or smoothie maker and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
You can also substitute cooked, cooled oatmeal for the oat cereal.
